SINEAD O'CONNOR whose scalp was torn off by electric drill in horrific accident has miracle surgery to rebuild face
Sinead O'Connor who had her scalp torn off by an electric drill has undergone an incredible transformation after surgeons 'patched up' her face using skin from her arm.
Unfortunate mum-of-four, lost her hair, forehead, eyebrows and eyelids in the horrific power tool accident earlier this month.
But she's finally able to smile again, thanks to highly-skilled plastic surgeons who took skin grafts from her arm and legs to repair her face.
The disaster happened when Sinead O'Connor's hair got caught in the powerful drill, causing her head to jerk forward.
Instantly, the skin on her head was torn off in a straight line from her eyes and the top of her nose all the way around to the back of her head.
Sinead O'Connor said: "I had my hair in a ponytail. My hair wrapped round the working electric drill and was pulled out."
"I remember everything. I went to run and then I saw my scalp was no longer attached to me, it was lying next to me instead."
