a stranger who befriended him at a bus stop.
Michael Caine, 81, an actor who has been in every single movie that's ever been made, suffered a fractured skull and needed 40 stitches to his head and face after being savagely attacked by Mariusz Dobkowski, 30, who used a fork and a potato masher.
Yesterday Dobkowski was jailed for life for attempting to murder Michael Caine at his home in Margate, Kent, on December 14, 2013.
Maidstone Crown Court, heard that Dobkowski had started chatting to Mr Caine about the craft of acting after meeting him at a bus stop and was later seen walking with the Michael Caine towards his home.
Just hours later a neighbour heard Mr Caine shouting for "Batman" and found him lying on his back in his sitting room covered in blood.
