WORLD CUP "ADDICT" SUNDAY: LET THEM EAT SOCCER BALLS

william brown: Anything worth watching on Sunday...is Bosnia-Herzegovina any good? Or is that a bad mismatch...i know nothing about this Swiss/Ecuador game...how's France looking in their matchup?

Graeme Abernethy: Not so excited about Sundays games really. France should be solid. Is it Argentina playing Bosnia-Herzegovina? Euro teams are usually solid but Argies are stacked. I hate Swiss anything. Germans by another name! But they're rock solid. Spurs game is what I want to watch...

william brown: Just watched that penalty call on Croatia..in the refs defense...and yes it's a really bad call...but the croatian guy grabs the Brazil guys shoulder...the Brazlil guy does a nice job of flopping, but from the perspective of the ref it looked like he grabbed and pulled him down...of course if croatia was my team i would've been up all night replaying that one!

Graeme Abernethy: Yeah it wasn't great but it's how the game is refereed. Players will flop if flopping works. Someone compared it in some article recently to a foul in basketball being worth 20 points rather than two. Penalty shots go in what--90 percent of the time? The two offside calls negating both mexico goals in this game were worse than anything in yesterday's. But you gotta beat the refs too.

william brown: Exactly, if you've watched sports long enough you know how the refs can be a wild card...speaking of which, another questionable call from the refs against the Dutch there, resulting in that Spain goal...wow what a goal by the dutch!

Graeme Abernethy: Missed the spain goal, caught the Van Persie. Damn good. I want to see Spain lose!

william brown: Getting embarrassing for Spain...

Graeme Abernethy: They need it just like Barcelona needed it. I'm smiling...

william brown: Did i just hear right, that Rooney's never scored a world cup goal?…wow

Graeme Abernethy: Could be. He certainly played like shit in the last one.

william brown: Nice little push in the second half from Ivory Coast...what did you think of Sterling from England earlier?

Graeme Abernethy: Sterling looked comfortable out there but couldn't get past the defense. Typical England really. They look fine but can't finish. Must wins in two more tough games now. Ivory Coast looked solid once Drogba was out there. Guess they didn't want to play two strikers until they were down...
